you used to be the reason, for my smile.you still are.

"so funny ar? if u think funny, dont take my cab la.."

this, is obviously a case of severe inferiority complex.
like what the hell la? who was laughing at him?

the monyet and me were hailing a cab after a lazy day of prancing around campus.
filled with hunger and the utmost humour we had about the state of our life in uni, we cant stop laughing from the moment we had our feets off the central library.
and so, as always, we the happy duo were laughing at our meaningfool jokes when this cab driver suddenly snapped at us.

yati was dumbfounded.
sharifah was lost.

we were left to defend ourselves helplessly against the cab driver who insisted that we were laughing at him when i couldnt find anything humorous abt him.
and so, he tried to instill terror in us by saying, "I can read minds"
while initially i was quite pissed off by his antics, after i heard that, i was just bubbling with laughter. i had to keep quiet and stop defending myself in order to fight my urge to just burst out laughing.

what was that man thinking?
did he think that we were kids who would be frightened off by his psychic powers?
we're not that dumb. we were just dumbfounded cause what he said just wasnt making any sense. not at all.
if we were to continue arguing with him, he would say we were rude. and all the stereotypes of a typical uni student would prevail.
so i guess, remaining quiet was the closest thing i could do to at least respect him as an old man.

if there were anything to laugh about in this episode, it wasnt him, his identity or his status. the humour lies in how insecure he feels about himself and his identity. and thinking deeper, its actually quite sad that at his age, he's still gripping with problems pertaining to self esteem.
